Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Hey Hey guys!! I'm uploading again!! WOO!!!! I am about to mass upload much to many people's dismay, but I want to share my adventures with you guys. I know mass uploading can be daunting and a little pain in the ass so sorry but please bear with it

after teh absence of me for many weeks *coughmonthscough* I plan to get back into the habit of at least one deviation a week.

Recently I went to North Keppel Island (In Australia) on an art trip. it was 3 days and 2 nights of pure action packed art awesomeness!!! I took a heap of photo's and want to share the ones I think look the best - even if it's only me who thinks that.
North Keppelis a gorgeous island that is completely environmentally focused. I think they have a webpage online explaining the whoel point of the facility. It's taken to the point where only one house is actually built there for residential use. otherwise it's just a small facility in place to educate people.

We also had to do a sculpture there but I didn't get a photo of my finished product sorry guys. I was relaly happy with it too! We have to use objects that we found on the island

I found a massive stick that resembled a spear so I ran around the beach acting like a hunting caveman

yes I'm stupid enough to do that haha.

ALSO! THe title is not completely random. In Monster Hunter there are high rank monsters called 'Elder Dragons' that you can kill and hunt. I went on a quest to hunt a Kirin that is an elder dragon... that happens to be a unicorn -.-
Yes, it is an elder dragon unicorn that uses electricity to whoop yo ass! (Learnt that the hard way).

lol Kirins are Chinese unicorns, a part of their cultural lore. Scales of a carp a single branch like horn dee body and ox tail... huh... never would have associated that with dragons o_O

Yeah, it is really a cool creature - thanks for telling me that, I didnt' know it was part of Chinese culture lore. But it comes under the heading of 'Edler Dragon' in the game so I have no idea

And It really was quite fun but above all it was aboslutely gorgeous!!! FREEZING!!! COLD AS HELL!!! I WAS SHAKING MY BUTT OFF AT THE TEMPERATURES! IT WAS WARMER OUTSIDE THAN IN TEH CABINS!!!!!
